What Stepcast is.
Stepcast provides self-guided audio walking tours delivered via a web browser. Each tour includes audio narration at every stop, a live GPS map showing your position relative to tour stops, and historical, cultural and contemporary information about each location.
The first three stops of every tour are free. Full tour access requires a one-off purchase of a license key for €4.99 per city. No subscription, no recurring charges.
License keys and payment.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who act as Merchant of Record. Payment infrastructure is powered by Stripe. Upon successful payment, a unique license key will be emailed to you automatically.
Each key allows activation on up to 3 devices.
Keys are personal to you and should not be shared.
Keys do not expire and can be used at any time after purchase.
Sharing your key may result in it being deactivated.
Our refund policy.
Because our tours are digital products delivered immediately upon purchase, we generally do not offer refunds once a license key has been issued and used to unlock a tour.
However, we will offer a full refund if you have not yet used your license key to unlock any stops beyond the free three, you contact us within 14 days of purchase at info@stepcasttours.com, or there is a technical fault preventing access to the tour that we are unable to resolve.
This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Staying safe out there.
Our tours take place on public streets. You are responsible for your own safety at all times. Follow all local laws and traffic rules, and stay aware of your surroundings while using your phone or wearing earphones.
You are also responsible for ensuring you have adequate mobile data or offline access for the tour, and for any personal belongings including your device.
Stepcast is not liable for accidents, injuries, theft, or losses that occur during the use of our tours, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Information in our tours.
We take care to ensure the historical and practical information in our tours is accurate. However, opening times, entry prices, and practical details can change. We recommend checking current information directly with attractions before visiting. We cannot be held responsible for inaccuracies in third-party information.
Our content.
All content in our tours, including scripts, audio, design, and maps, is the intellectual property of Stepcast. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content commercially without written permission. Your license key grants you personal, non-commercial access to the tour content only.
Service uptime.
We aim to keep our tours available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to take the service offline for maintenance. Where possible we will give advance notice of planned downtime.
Limitation of liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Stepcast's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the tour. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of enjoyment, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
England and Wales.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at stepcasttours.com/terms.html. We will notify you of material changes by email where we hold your email address. Continued use of the service following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
